'A STAR IS BORN' REMAKE: BEYONCE AND DICAPRIO MAY SHARE SOME SCREEN TIME

Our sources tell us Leonardo DiCaprio may be sharing screen time with Beyonce -- if Clint Eastwood has his way.

Deadline reports that the actor-turned-director has been trying to convince DiCaprio to star in his next project, a remake of the Barbra Streisand musical "A Star is Born," which already has Beyonce as its leading lady.

Before DiCaprio, Will Smith was in the running to portray Beyonce's on-screen love interest.

In the 1976 version of "A Star is Born," a self-destructive, has-been rock star (Kris Kristofferson) falls for an up-and-coming songstress (Barbra Streisand).

Before the Streisand-Kristofferson incarnation, there were two earlier versions of "A Star is Born": with Judy Garland and James Mason in 1954, and Janet Gaynor and Fredric March in 1937.
