HELP SAVE GREAT TEACHERS

Due to outdated and harmful education policies students across the nation are at risk of loosing great teachers. One out of every five teachers in urban areas could lose their job due to state budget cuts. Layoffs during tough economic times are controlled by a system known as "Last In, First Out" (LIFO). This policy dictates that when there are layoffs, the most recently hired teachers in the system are the first to be fired. These decisions are based solely on seniority, without regard for teacher effectiveness. We must work together to save great teachers.

The fight to reform Nevada’s education laws is happening right now, and there may still be time to save Christine’s (the teacher profiled in our video) job. We need your help build this movement.

We believe effective teachers belong in the classroom, and layoffs should be based on a teachers ability to impact a students life, not the time frame in which they were hired. If you agree, click HERE to sign the list to help change this policy.

WE BELIVE CHILDREN COME FIRST.
